On 14th October 2019, Glodon Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Glodon”) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors India Private Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “RICS India”) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the strategic cooperation agreement in Glodon Building II, Beijing. The objective of both parties is to embrace in-depth cooperation in the digital construction industry.

The representatives from both parties have agreed to achieve win-win cooperation for the resources advantage for both and further expand the cooperation into various areas of practice and research topics.

In reference to the MoU, RICS India and Glodon will carry out cooperation in thought leadership events in built environment, joint research papers, software labs at the RICS School of Built Environment (SBE) campuses, BIM academy and digital construction software as elective courses and other areas.
Founded in 1998, Glodon is one of the top AEC software providers with around 6,700 employees all over the world. Since 2009, Glodon has established its international presence, with US, Finland and UK subsidiaries targeting the European and American markets as well as Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Indonesia subsidiaries driving its development in SEA markets such as Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand. India is the strategic market that Glodon will focus in the following years. Glodon has a long-term cooperation with RICS at a global level and hence Glodon has been requested to partner with RICS on various initiatives in India.
Mr. Nitin Kapoor, the Director of Operations and Business Development, South Asia of RICS, mentioned that he is impressed by the advanced digital building technology in Glodon that he has experienced today. In the future, they hope that we can combine technology and concepts, give full play to the talent advantages of both India and China, and jointly lead development and innovation in the field of construction and digitalization. They look forward to strengthening exchanges and cooperation in more fields and deeper levels.

Glodon Digital Building Education Solution was also introduced at this signing ceremony. It is a multi-disciplinary innovative teaching solution with the BIM technology as the core, supported by cutting-edge information technologies such as cloud, big data, IoT, mobile application, AI, AR, VR, including all participants, all elements and the whole process of construction engineering. The program is organized around four stages: cognitive learning, knowledge learning, skill learning, and comprehensive skill practice. BIM Informatization Integrated Education Solution is a deep integration of modern information technology and education and teaching. It can effectively help university transformation, improve the construction of the teaching team, and build a high-level talent capacity training platform.
The signing of the MoU between RICS India and Glodon marks the establishment of mutually beneficial partnerships between both parties. The Construction Summit in Mumbai in November opens the prelude to cooperation between both parties. It will be a new chapter for Glodon’s Internationalization process and cooperation with global organizations.
